Installation. Porzellan, Keramik, Glas, Wachs, Silikon, Schaumstoff, Plexiglas, Metall, Motor, Sound, 3x1x2m

Ein langer Tisch aus Edelstahl, bedeckt mit einer Decke aus weißem Plastik. Ein Motor bewegt eines der Objekte in einem unaufhörlichem Auf und Ab. Aus einer Musikbox kommen Geräusche von Apparaturen, die von einem tiefen monotonen Ton unterlegt sind. Die Neonlampen tauchen den Raum in ein kaltes Licht.
Selbstoptimierung, technischer Fortschritt, Zeitmanagment. Das eigene Wohlergehen sollte durch Sport, gesunde Ernährung und Inanspruchnahme sämtlicher medizinischer Fertigkeiten gewährleistet werden. Es ist nur eine Frage der Zeit bevor Alter, Krankheitund Tod überwunden sind.

A site-specific sculptural landscape made of light, sound and kinetic sculptures at MEINBLAU, Berlin, june 2014
What is our current vision for a perfect world? What does it look like now that our universal utopias have come into disuse, with God having been disestablished? Maybe it is a mystical theme park with automation as a substitute for nature?
In the year zero, the artist casts paradise as a surrealistic Disneyland in white and pink; the room is set alive by way of electronic machines made out of electric knives, ventilators, and record players. The neon light, the music composition, the voice from the megaphone, the sound of the motors, the sculptures that move mechanically: it all adds up to a bizarre vision, what a perfect world could look like in the future.

Wie kann man Aufmerksamkeit bekommen in einer Welt, die überättigt ist von Bildern, Ideen und Idolen?
Ist Intimität noch möglich, wenn durch Facebook und Twitter jeder Schritt dokumentiert und eine unkontrollierbare Menge überflüssiger Informationen kommuniziert wird?
Gibt es noch ein Privatleben, wenn Selbstinszenierung und Selbstvermarktung notwendig sind um voranzukommen?
The Pink Exposure Prinzip (das pinke Zurschaustellungs-prinzip oder P.E.P.) beschäftigt sich mit den Strategien der Selbstoffenbarung und -darstellung und wie sie das Innere und Äußere, das private und öffentliche Leben der Menschen beeinflusst. Die beiden Künstlerinnen Olivia Pils und Kirsty Kross nähern sich biographisch an das Thema: während Olivia Pils ihre Projektionen der Gesellschaft nach Außen manifestiert, geht Kirsty Kross den umgekehrten Weg von Außen nach Innen, wenn sie ihre eigene Rolle als weibliche Performerin im Pop-Business betrachtet. -
